We MAKE FILMS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Rachel Lane heads up Sydney-based Broken Hill Films, a production company producing quality projects that have been screened at Event Cinemas, and broadcast on ABC, SBS and NITV.

 

Film credits include the award-winning feature film Bilched which won ‘Best Film’ at Chelsea Film Festival, New York, 2019 and was screened nationally at Event Cinemas in the same year.

 

The documentary Faithfully Me was broadcast on ABC TV in 2020 and chosen for official selection at the Academy-Accredited St Kilda Film Festival in 2021.


The film also attracted a nomination for Rachel Lane in the ‘Best Director’ category at the Australian Director’s Guild awards in 2021.

 

The current slate includes a one-hour documentary,
Life Burns High, which showcases the life of Australian writer Charmian Clift, based on the award winning biography ‘The Life and Myth Of Charmian Clift’ by
Nadia Wheatley.

 

Rachel is also making a half-hour documentary exploring the trials and tribulations of Samoan pastor Andre Afamasaga, a gay man who fought to reconcile his faith and sexual identity.
